I am trying to work through your beeo “Adwords For Dummies” and trying to Discover Your Online Market. However when I ownload the mpg, I get a read only file and cannot change anything or paste in my results. What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded the MPG and signed up for your site but when I try to put the free keywords in I get that the Excel spreadsheet is protected.

OK, two questions about the same problem - that’s an indication that I’m not making things easy or clear enough.
Here’s the deal about the MPG. Every cell is password protected, except the yellow ones. You can type in a description of the market in Column B, the search volume in Column C, and your choice of dessert in Column D. Oh, sorry, I mean the average bid price in Column D. Once these are inputted, Column E, the TMH in Column E magically appears.
If you try to type anywhere on the spreadsheet except those yellow columns, you will get a demand for a password.
The sheet is password protected for two reasons.
1. So you can’t accidentally erase the formulas.
2. So an unscrupulous person (not you) can’t copy the formulas and make their own MPG and write their own AdWords For Dummies book and steal my identity and my car and my house and my family and lock me up in a mirror while I helplessly watch them live my life.
Hope that helps…

Howie,
Two things. Many of the keywords that registered traffic in the Freewords calculator showed “no data available” on Google - is Freewords or Google more correct as to the viability of the keywords?
As for the MPG calculator, I did not understand step #11, it seems to contradict #12. All my top keywords had a 1-3 rank to begin with.
