The Market Profitability Gauge (MPG) is an Excel spreadsheet, already formatted and with the formulas in place (see the screen shot below). Just download it to your computer, save it where you can find it easily, and open it using Microsoft Excel or the free spreadsheet available at www.openoffice.org.

The TMH (Total Market Health) numbers are scored as follows:
| 0-50 | Not much commerce happening here |
| 51-100 | Hard place to make money |
| 101-200 | Good place for AdWords beginners |
| 201-1000 | Competitive Market – Better know your stuff |
| 1001+ | Hyper-Competitive Market – Sharks only |
